Kerambitan Achieves 100% Posbankum Establishment, Strengthening Legal Access in Villages


TABANAN – The Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kanwil Kemenkum) Bali held a Legal Aid Post (Posbankum) socialization event in Penarukan Village, Kerambitan District, Tabanan Regency, on Tuesday (30/9). The event, which took place at the Penarukan Village Office, also marked Kerambitan District’s achievement of 100% compliance in establishing Posbankum.


The event was opened by the Head of Penarukan Village (Perbekel), I Putu Rai Suteja, who expressed appreciation to all parties for their support in strengthening access to legal aid at the village level. He hoped that the presence of Posbankum would serve as a tangible means for the community to obtain justice.


Senior Legal Counselor of Kanwil Kemenkum Bali, Ida Ayu Putu Herawati, in her introduction emphasized the legal foundation and importance of Posbankum as part of expanding access to justice for the community. This was echoed by fellow Senior Legal Counselor, I Gede Adi Saputra, who explained the urgency of establishing Posbankum and its connection with the Legal Awareness Family (Kadarkum) program and the strengthening of the Paralegal Justice Award (PJA) role at the village level.


Support also came from the Director of the Indonesian People’s Struggle Legal Aid Institute (LBH Perjuangan Masyarakat Indonesia), I Gusti Putu Kirana Dana, who highlighted the importance of synergy between Legal Aid Organizations (OBH) and village governments in expanding community legal services.


The event was also attended by Junior Expert Legal Counselor, Made Prama Dyanti Kusumasinda, community leaders, Babinsa (village supervisory non-commissioned officers), Bhabinkamtibmas (community police officers), student representatives, and the management of Merah Putih Cooperative of Penarukan Village. Enthusiasm was evident from participants through interactive discussions that explored the community’s legal aid needs at the village level.


The event concluded that Kerambitan District had successfully achieved its full target in establishing Posbankum. This achievement will be reported by Kanwil Kemenkum Bali to the National Legal Development Agency (BPHN) as a basis for accelerating Posbankum targets across Bali Province.


The event was closed by the Head of Penarukan Village, who expressed hope that synergy among stakeholders will continue to ensure the sustainability of Posbankum. (*)
